The Food Safety Department, Ministry of Health has just decided to recall a series of health protection food products that do not ensure safety and have incorrect labels.

Specifically, the Food Safety Department has just decided to recall the food supplement product MAN PLUS GOLD (batch number: 040325, manufacturing date: 4-3-2025, expiry date: 4-3-2028, box of 30 tablets).

On the product label, the trader responsible for product quality and distribution is stated: Bao Ngoc International Pharmaceutical Company Limited (Hoang Mai District, Hanoi ); manufactured at Hoang Gia Hoa Binh Company Limited (Ky Son Ward, Hoa Binh City, Hoa Binh Province).

The product was recalled due to the self-declaration of the product not complying with the provisions of the Food Safety Law.

At the same time, 3 other batches of MAN PLUS GOLD health protection food of this company were also recalled because the label stated that it was produced at Hoang Gia Hoa Binh Company Limited, but the company did not have a certificate of food safety qualified facility meeting the requirements of good manufacturing practices (GMP) as prescribed.

MAN PLUS food supplement product (Lot number: 102025, Manufacturing date: 10-2-2025, Expiry date: 10-2-2028, box of 60 tablets). The label states the merchant responsible for the quality and distribution of the product: Bao Ngoc International Pharmaceutical Company Limited, same address as above, manufactured in Vietnam, also recalled because according to the information on the label, this product belongs to the group of health protection food products.

Product "Cordyceps" (batch number: 040325, production date: 4-3-2025, expiry date: 4-3-2028, box of 30 capsules and box of 50 capsules) manufactured by Hoang Gia Hoa Binh Company Limited (Ky Son ward, Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province).

According to the Food Safety Department, although the label states: "Gifted goods, not for sale, internal circulation goods", Hoang Gia Hoa Binh Company Limited has sold the above batch of products. In addition, according to the information on the label, the product belongs to the group of health protection food products, but the company has not yet declared the product according to regulations.

The product "Nam Duong Tea", responsible for bringing to the market is Bao Ngoc International Pharmaceutical Company Limited (47 Group 9 Yen Duyen, Yen So Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi); manufactured in Vietnam, was also recalled because according to the information on the label, this product belongs to the group of health protection food products.

The Food Safety Department requires Hoang Gia Hoa Binh Company Limited and Bao Ngoc International Pharmaceutical Company Limited to be responsible for product recall under the supervision of competent state management agencies.

Immediately after completing the recall, these two companies are responsible for reporting to the agency that issued the recall decision and the competent state agency on food safety in the area where the company operates and produces.

A pharmaceutical company was fined more than 200 million VND

The Ministry of Health Inspectorate has just decided to fine Armephaco 120 LLC (118 Vu Xuan Thieu, Phuc Loi Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi) for violating quality regulations.

Specifically, the company was fined for 3 violations:

- Production of Erythromycin 500mg film-coated tablets (Production Registration Number: VD31437-19, Batch Number: 022024, Manufacturing Date: June 15, 2024, Expiry Date: June 15, 2028) violates level 2 quality according to the provisions of law.

- Failure to carry out procedures for registration of changes or additions to the circulation registration certificate with the competent state agency before circulating drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients that require prior approval for implementation for 5 drugs.

- Not updating drug quality standards and drug ingredients as prescribed for 3 drugs.

Armephaco 120 LLC was administratively fined 215 million VND. At the same time, it was forced to destroy the entire batch of Erythromycin 500mg film-coated tablets that violated quality standards.
