The specialized agency pointed out that the investor and contractor need to control the progress well so that the North-South expressway project, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section, can be completed 3 months ahead of schedule.
Regarding the construction progress of the North-South expressway project, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section, the Department of Construction Investment Management (Ministry of Transport) said that as of the first week of February 2025, the project's output reached more than 66% of the contract value, meeting the set plan.

Based on the actual implementation, the contractors committed to strive to open the main route to traffic on September 30, 2025, 3 months shorter than the signed contract.
Currently, the project basically has no more difficulties or problems with land and materials, however, the Department of Construction Investment Management notes that Project Management Board 85 and contractors need to control the progress of some items well.
Specifically, the units are requested to monitor subsidence for the soft soil treatment section of about 0.85km (at Km 28+600 - Km 29+140; Km 29+520 - Km 29+752; Km 30+140 - Km 30+220) of package 12-XL, expected to be unloaded in March 2025.
In particular, Hai Dang contractor needs to have a specific plan and solution to deploy the construction system on the route immediately after unloading, ensuring the overall completion schedule.
"On the route, there are 4 cantilever bridges (Km 60+480 Bridge; Km 61+170 Bridge; Ky Lo Bridge (Km 63+328); Km 65+012 Bridge) currently under progress control, expected to close all piers before July 30, 2025.
Investors need to strictly control the construction progress of all bridges. In particular, for Ky Lo Bridge Km 63+328 (5 cantilever spans of 120m) with a length of more than 1.8km, large construction volume, and complex construction terrain. Contractors need to focus on human resources and construction machinery to speed up the completion progress.
Regarding asphalt concrete, especially C16 asphalt concrete, units must strictly control the source of stone materials, have specific plans to be proactive in construction, and ensure quality according to requirements," the specialized agency of the Ministry of Transport proposed.
The North-South Expressway project, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh section, is invested with a total length of nearly 62km, passing through two provinces: Binh Dinh (nearly 20km) and Phu Yen (more than 42km). The total investment of the project is more than 14,800 billion VND.
