A beautiful journey awaits athletes in Vung Tau

The 2023 OneWay Marathon Vung Tau is organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Electronic Magazine in collaboration with the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), and the Vietnam Journalists Association. This is an annual race, part of the OneWay Marathon series. This year, the race is expected to attract about 5,000 professional athletes, amateur athletes, and the community of sports lovers and marathon runners from within and outside the country.

The tournament takes place with 4 competition distances: 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km. The organizing committee accepts registration for runners from 11 years old.

Athletes participating in the tournament will have unique experiences on the non-repetitive running route, passing through 12 famous locations of Vung Tau including: Big Mountain, Small Mountain, Front Beach, Back Beach, Nghinh Phong Cape, Hon Ba, Freshwater Pass, Marina Wharf...

Runners compete in the OneWay Marathon system

They will be able to welcome the sunrise on the running route and pass through the longest bougainvillea road in Vietnam. This is also an opportunity to promote Vung Tau tourism and spread the message of forest and marine biodiversity conservation.

The organizers will close the entire road so that the athletes can fully experience the journey. Water and electrolyte stations and friendly volunteers will be densely arranged.

The most notable item in the set of items associated with the tournament is the medal for the athletes. The medal design is inspired by famous landmarks of Vung Tau with the Statue of Christ with open arms, the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam, Heaven's Gate on Nghinh Phong Cape and especially the symbol of Ba Ria Vung Tau Province placed in the center of the medal, showing the connection and support of the locality for the OneWay Vung Tau Marathon.

The OneWay Marathon route will also pass through these famous landmarks of the city. The back of the medal has a bougainvillea pattern spread across a pink background representing the special route of OneWay, the 42km route will pass through the longest and most beautiful bougainvillea road in Vietnam.

In addition, to show gratitude to the running clubs, the organizers will award a prize worth 111,111,111 VND to the club with the longest total distance run at OneWay Marathon Vung Tau 2023. Currently, there are many large running clubs that have registered to participate in the tournament such as Vung Tau Beach Running Club, Run For Life, Adidas Runners Saigon, FeedOneRunners... These are all groups with a large number of members and practice quite professionally under the guidance of experts and reputable coaches.
