Explosion of data applications in business analytics
The World Economic Forum's (WEF) recently released Future of Jobs 2025 report shows that among the fastest growing occupations by 2030, Big Data Specialist is No. 1, while Data Analyst and Data Scientist are in the Top 10. The figures all point to the explosion of data-related industries in many countries, including Vietnam.
Big data is also listed by the WEF as one of the fastest growing skills across all industries.

The influx of data creates an unprecedented wave of demand for high-quality human resources.
A McKinsey study shows that companies that effectively apply data in building business strategies can increase profits by up to 6% per year, improve their competitive position and significantly reduce risks.
This explains why Data Science and Business Analytics are constantly at the top of the “hot” list. In business analytics, data becomes the core foundation, providing objective and comprehensive evidence for managers to make decisions.
From better understanding customer behavior and optimizing operational processes to predicting market trends and discovering new growth opportunities… data is the guiding light for all effective business analytics.
The influx of data has created an unprecedented wave of demand for high-quality human resources. From technology giants, financial groups to leading medical organizations, all are pouring capital into data mining. Along with that, a wave of dynamic startups is also rising strongly by leveraging the power of data analysis to accelerate growth, creating a vibrant and competitive labor market.
Access global knowledge in "hot" fields right in Vietnam
In Vietnam, one of the prestigious and market-responsive training programs is the Bachelor of Data Science and Business Analytics of the British University Vietnam (BUV). The program is awarded by the University of London, developed and rigorously assessed for academic quality by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a member of the University of London (UoL).

Recently, the University of London awarded the title of “International Partner” to British University Vietnam (BUV).
The programme’s world-class academic and teaching quality is assured by the expertise of LSE, one of the world’s leading universities for economics and social sciences, ranked 4th in the UK and 6th globally. LSE has excellent teaching staff, cutting-edge research and alumni including heads of state and Nobel laureates.
Unlike other international degree programmes, UoL degree programmes require students to study at a training centre approved by the university to ensure the quality of training with strict standards. Currently, about 15,000 students worldwide are studying these programmes, and BUV is the only international partner in Vietnam to train LSE/UoL programmes.
LSE's involvement also opens up opportunities for students to continue their studies at higher levels, whether pursuing a Master's (MSc) or Doctoral (PhD) degree at LSE or other leading universities around the world.

Students benefit from a curriculum from LSE with the same quality as in the UK and a 5-star campus.
Dr Mark Wheaton, Acting Director of Academic Affairs and Dean of British University Vietnam (BUV), emphasized: “BUV’s Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Business Analytics program is built to meet the growing demand for data professionals.
In particular, we cooperate with the London School of Economics and Political Science to bring high-quality, practical and innovative study programs. Graduates will have solid skills to keep up with work and integrate into the global economic environment."
British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first university in Vietnam to receive a 5-star rating from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and the first university in Vietnam and ASEAN to receive global quality accreditation from QAA, the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. These are two of the most prestigious accreditation bodies in the world.
