The English striker has only one year left on his contract with Spurs and has become the target of many big teams, including MU, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.
However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has taken a tough stance, insisting on a fee of £100 million for any team wanting to sign Harry Kane.
This is considered too high a price for a striker who is about to turn 30 and can leave for free next summer.
Daily Mail said that after a period of consideration, MU decided to stop pursuing Harry Kane and switch to a cheaper target.
Faced with the prospect of having to stay at Tottenham for another year, Kane is trying to convince Mr Levy to reduce his asking fee to £80m.
He made his point clear, he only wants to join MU so he hopes the Manchester team will return to the negotiating table in the near future.
Currently, coach Ten Hag and his colleagues are contacting Rasmus Hojlund (Atalanta). However, the Dutch coach still wants to recruit the striker who has proven his ability in the Premier League.
Harry Kane fits the criteria perfectly, but the problem lies in the high transfer price. MU only has a budget of 120 million pounds to spend this summer, allocated to invest in bringing in at least two to three new players.
