Red music trio Trong Tan - Dang Duong - Viet Hoan.
This is the third joint performance of the red music trio, organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
The live concert was originally scheduled to take place in April, joining the jubilant atmosphere across the country towards the important holiday. However, due to a tight performance schedule in many provinces and cities across the country in March and April, the three artists decided to postpone the program to May in order to have the most thorough and thoughtful preparation.
The red music trio left a deep impression on the audience with revolutionary songs.
The auditorium of the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace was packed. The audience continuously applauded the artists' performances. Songs that have been loved by many generations of listeners such as Truong Son , The Truong Son Stick , Truong Son Song , March of Days and Nights, Chorus of Love, Love Song, The Road We Go, Marching in the Spring, Hello, Lam Hong Girl, Country, Marching to Saigon, Five Brothers on a Tank, Country Full of Joy... were sung with the love for their homeland by artists who vowed to devote their lives to revolutionary music.
Trong Tan subtly performed the song "Country" by musician Pham Minh Tuan.
Songs that were once very popular but are rarely heard recently such as Nguoi chien si a (That soldier), Bao noi len roi (The storm rises), Ta ra tran hom nay (We go to battle today) and the songs about the resistance capital by musician Pham Tuyen, Ha Noi Dien Bien Phu in the air and Ha Noi nhung dem khong sleepless are also performed by artists in the program, reviving the fiery memories of soldiers who once went to battle.
The Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Palace auditorium was packed.
The organizers said that the program was inspired by a musical march. The lyrical character throughout the program is a soldier of Uncle Ho's army, marching from the north, crossing Truong Son to Saigon, liberating the south, and unifying the country.
The songs in the program are mostly sung in the "classical" way as the artists sang decades ago on the Voice of Vietnam radio , recalling a time of war and belief in peace and victory.
Viet Hoan - Trong Tan - Dang Duong, guest singers and relatives took souvenir photos with People's Artist Quang Tho - the teacher who connected them into a trio more than 20 years ago, in a program organized by the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music).
The song “Red Leaves” is the only piece in the program that was completely re-arranged in a rock style by Music Director Son Thach, and received enthusiastic applause from the audience. This is also the song that the trio’s teacher, People’s Artist Quang Tho, performed very successfully. Viet Hoan - Trong Tan - Dang Duong renewed the song as a way to pay tribute to their teacher.
The guest of the program is female singer Anh Tho.
The music night ended with a deep resonance, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of the audience. The red music trio Viet Hoan – Trong Tan – Dang Duong once again affirmed their enduring appeal in revolutionary music – both vibrant and heroic, yet full of lyricism, romance and sophistication.
