Hau Loc: Actively prepare for important exams

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hau Loc district has 2,160 grade 9 students taking the 10th grade entrance exam at 4 high schools in the district (in addition, there are 178 students from Hoang Hoa district registering to take the 10th grade entrance exam at high schools in Hau Loc). The Department of Education and Training (GD&DT) of Hau Loc district issued instructions for admission to grade 10 high school in the 2025-2026 school year. It is expected that in the 2025-2026 school year, Hau Loc will enroll 1,760 students in grade 10/40 classes at 4 high schools including: Hau Loc High School 1,2,3,4.

To achieve positive results in the 2025-2026 high school entrance exam taking place in early June 2025, currently, students of secondary schools in Hau Loc area are actively reviewing and consolidating their knowledge.

Hoa Loc Secondary School located in Hoa Loc commune is a school with more than 60 years of construction and development, with many achievements in teaching and learning.

Ms. Le Thi Xuan, a Math teacher, shared: Each teacher will have their own teaching methods. Math is considered a difficult subject for students, so from the beginning, it is necessary to create interest and a comfortable psychology for students. During the teaching process, students must be classified in general classes, and during the team review, it is necessary to teach by topic and do many exercises. Implementing Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training on regulations on extra teaching and learning, reviewing for the 10th grade entrance exam in the 2025-2026 school year will be more difficult for teachers and students. Currently, students review for 2 periods/subject and study 3 sessions/week for 3 subjects for the 10th grade entrance exam. The amount of knowledge is large, the review periods are fewer, the teachers try to teach in class, assign homework, test regularly, and at the same time guide students in reviewing skills for each type of lesson, each topic, and reviewing many questions.

Mai Anh Kiet, a 9th grade student, has just won second prize in Math in the district-level cultural subject competition for excellent students in the 2024-2025 school year. According to Kiet, the secret to studying Math well is to love the subject, have a firm grasp of the knowledge, absorb the teachers' lectures, and practice a lot. Kiet strives to achieve high scores in the 10th grade entrance exam, in which he strives for 9.5 points in Math.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hoa Loc Secondary School has a total of 282 students, including 2 9th grade classes with 54 students.

Ms. Vu Thanh Tam, Principal of Hoa Loc Secondary School, said: In the 2024-2025 school year, the school has a total of 282 students, including 2 grade 9 classes with 54 students. Currently, the school is reviewing 3 subjects: Math, Literature, English for grade 9 students taking the 10th grade entrance exam in the 2025-2026 school year. To improve the quality and effectiveness of the exam review, the school has assessed and classified students' abilities by conducting an input survey through organizing standardized knowledge tests according to the 10th grade entrance exam structure. Focus on building a review plan for each stage; Organize classes flexibly and effectively, demonstrated through the arrangement of groups of classes according to students' level and ability. Currently, the school ranks 5th in the district in terms of key quality, and has been in the top 10 in the district in terms of quality of the 10th grade entrance exam for 3 consecutive years.

In parallel with the review work for grade 9 students to take the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, high schools in Hau Loc district are also actively reviewing for the 2025 "passing the gate" exam for grade 12 students.

The 2024-2025 school year is the first year that 12th graders will take the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. From 2025, to be considered for high school graduation, each candidate must take 2 compulsory subjects: Math, Literature and 2 subjects that the candidate chooses from the remaining subjects studied in grade 12 (Foreign Language, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic & Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology). Currently, in Hau Loc district, there are 4 high schools and 1 vocational education - continuing education center, including 1,760 12th grade students.

Hau Loc 2 High School is located in Thuan Loc commune. In the 2024-2025 school year, the school has 1,260 students, including 406 grade 12 students preparing for the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Teacher Hoang Sy Tien, Vice Principal of Hau Loc 2 High School said: To prepare for the 2025 high school graduation exam, the school organized for students to register for high school graduation exam subjects and organized a survey to register for high school graduation exam subjects and divided them into 14 classes for review. The review period started from February 17th until now. Both review and survey were organized for high school graduation exam 2 times according to the plan of the provincial Department of Education and Training. Currently, the school is promoting review, encouraging students to review and take the exam with peace of mind, striving for 100% of students to pass the graduation exam.
