The Provincial People's Council's monitoring delegation surveyed the Project of Anti-erosion Embankment to protect the Lam left dike, Yen Xuan area, Hung Nguyen district, invested by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

| The project of embankment to protect the Lam left dike, Yen Xuan area, Hung Nguyen district was completed and put into use, overcoming the situation of riverbank erosion. |
The embankment is over 1.7km long, with a total investment of 200 billion VND. The project was completed and put into use at the end of 2023 and has been effective in overcoming riverbank erosion, protecting the downstream area of the Ca River, including more than 90,000 hectares of agricultural land and nearly 780,000 people in Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, Nghi Loc districts and Vinh city, along with many important infrastructures. Currently, this project has been completed and disbursed 98%, and is being submitted to the construction authority for approval of acceptance results.

In Dien Chau district, the monitoring team also conducted a survey of a number of projects in the Southeast Economic Zone. Of which, the N2 crossroad project with a total length of more than 6.9km and a total investment of more than 405 billion VND has been completed and put into use. The railway overpass project at N2 road with a total investment of 150 billion VND has been basically completed and is currently carrying out procedures for handover and putting into use.

To ensure connection and synchronous communication of functional sub-zones in the North of the economic zone with the existing traffic system down to Cua Lo port, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone proposed that the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee prioritize the allocation of capital sources to invest in the intersection between N2 road and the North-South expressway.

Next, the monitoring team also surveyed the coastal road project from Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) to Cua Lo (Nghe An) with a total length of more than 64 km. The total investment of the project is more than 4,650 billion VND. Construction started in February 2022. Currently, the construction and installation value has reached 85% according to the contract and more than 3,230 billion VND has been disbursed.

The project is currently stuck with local land acquisition issues in Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu districts and Hoang Mai town. The Department of Transport is coordinating with localities to mobilize people to support the project, relocate and hand over clean land to promptly open the route by the end of this year./.
