On behalf of the Organizing Committee, the leaders of the Provincial Center for Culture and Tourism Promotion reported on the final evaluation of the contest and announced the decision to award the 2025 Bac Giang Provincial Children's Fine Arts Award. The contest was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Departmentof Education and Training since March with the theme "Bac Giang, my hometown".
The Organizing Committee received 858 works from 756 authors who are students from primary and secondary schools in the province. The works used diverse materials such as: wax, watercolor, gouache, oil paint... reflecting national traditions, human life, landscape, Bac Giang culture; environmental issues, traffic safety, daily life of children.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Do Tuan Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that the children's art competition was held for the first time at the provincial level on the occasion of the country's major holidays. The competition aims to promote cultural and artistic activities in general, and fine arts activities in particular in the province, encourage and create conditions for teenagers and children to participate in healthy and beneficial cultural and artistic activities; contribute to aesthetic and personality education; arouse the passion for creativity and nurture the souls of the young generation. Through that, talented students are promptly discovered to have plans to train and foster to improve the quality of human resources in the field of fine arts.

Representatives of the Organizing Committee and delegates awarded 5 collective prizes to units with a large number of participating students and many quality works; in which the first prize belonged to the Department of Education and Training of Hiep Hoa district. At the same time, certificates and bonuses were awarded to 68 authors with winning works in two groups of primary and secondary school students, including: 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 20 third prizes, and 40 consolation prizes.
These works demonstrated the rich imagination, keen observation and humane emotions of the children and students. The two individual First Prizes went to contestant Vu Khanh Chi, class 4D, Duc Thang 1 Primary School (Hiep Hoa) with the work “My hometown festival” and contestant Van Duc Thinh, class 7A3, Thuong Thang Secondary School (Hiep Hoa) with the work “Summer of childhood”.

The two works use gouache, in which “My hometown festival” depicts a festival in the northern countryside with a bustling procession, with the participation of many people creating a joyful atmosphere, full of traditional colors. The work “Summer of childhood” depicts the image of a peaceful, beautiful countryside, children playing on the backs of buffaloes on the dike and vast fields. The jury highly appreciated the two paintings for their bright colors, harmonious composition, and rustic strokes expressing the innocent, pure look of children.
At the award ceremony, Van Duc Thinh shared: “The contest has created a useful and interesting playground for us to have the opportunity to express our passion, creativity and love for our homeland through our drawings. The award is a motivation for me to continue pursuing my dream, constantly learning and practicing to improve more and more with the art I love.”
