Principal prosecuted, 120 students have not been granted temporary graduation certificates

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province also assigned the Department of Home Affairs to proactively exchange information and coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee to promptly advise and seek opinions from the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee on the assignment of authority to the Principal of Quang Nam Medical College, as a basis for the school to sign and issue graduation certificates in accordance with regulations.

Previously, on June 14, Quang Nam Medical College sent an official dispatch to the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, stating that according to regulations, the authorized persons to sign the graduation certificate include the school principal; acting principal; and vice principal authorized in writing by the principal to sign the graduation certificate.

In reality, at Quang Nam Medical College, there are only 2 vice principals. Based on the above regulations, no one has the authority to sign the graduation certificates for students who have reached the graduation period.

Therefore, Quang Nam Medical College proposed that the People's Committee of Quang Nam province allow Mr. Bui Long An, Vice Principal, to sign and issue temporary graduation certificates to students graduating this semester with an expected number of 120 students (including both the joint training and regular training programs).

Previously, in early 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province prosecuted a number of defendants working at Quang Nam Medical College, including: Huynh Tan Tuan, Principal; Nguyen Ba, former Principal; Nguyen Duc Don, Head of Planning - Finance Department, Chief Accountant for the act of taking advantage of position and power while performing official duties.
