On May 29, parents and readers continued to provide information and opinions related to the case "Parents in Nha Trang react to the plan to 'shuffle classes' if students do not eat at school" that occurred at Vinh Nguyen 1 Primary School (Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) that Tuoi Tre Online reported.

1 boarding kitchen, the school rated it good at the beginning of the year, but at the end of the year the new principal said it was not up to standard.

Vinh Nguyen 1 Primary School has 20 classes, a total of 938 students studying at a single school, at 57 Hoang Dieu, Vinh Nguyen Ward, Nha Trang City.

According to the school's 2024-2025 school year education plan report at the beginning of the school year (September 2024), "the school has a one-way kitchen with an area of 86m2 , airy, hygienic, with full facilities to serve more than 600 boarding students".

Throughout the school year that is about to end, according to parents, the school's kitchen has been serving meals to boarding students and everything has been "normal and peaceful".

In May 2025, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Huong (former principal of Phuoc Dong Primary School, Nha Trang City) was transferred to become principal of Vinh Nguyen 1 Primary School.

Immediately afterwards, according to the Department of Education and Training of Nha Trang City, parents of students at the school reported that "the school principal organized a meeting to collect parents' opinions on rearranging classes. Parents did not agree with the above arrangement".

Parents have petitioned the department to give instructions to the principal of Vinh Nguyen 1 Primary School "not to cause psychological disturbance to students who are familiar with their friends and classes, so that the children can study with peace of mind and parents can work with peace of mind."

On May 19, the Departmentof Education and Training of Nha Trang City worked with Principal Le Thi Thanh Huong to investigate and verify.

Ms. Huong said that when she took over the job at Vinh Nguyen 1 Primary School, she "realized that the school's semi-boarding kitchen was very small, the facilities did not ensure a one-way kitchen, and the students had to eat semi-boarding in winter (more than 600 students)".

Parents wonder why the principal's report at the end of the year for the same school's canteen is "180 degrees opposite" to the school's report at the beginning of the year?

Does the principal set up administrative procedures related to boarding?

According to the Department of Education and Training of Nha Trang City, Ms. Huong also reported that, based on "recognizing" the school's semi-boarding kitchen as mentioned above, she organized to collect parents' opinions on registering for semi-boarding meals for the next school year (2025 - 2026).

The new principal has proposed options for parents: If many students register for boarding meals, the school "will contract with a company to organize boarding." If the number of students registering for boarding meals is small, "the school will rearrange the classrooms, and if there are many students, they will keep the same."

According to many parents, the new principal of Vinh Nguyen 1 Primary School's proposal of the above options is "no different than forcing parents to register their children for boarding meals at school" if they do not want their children to be "mixed into classes" according to the plan to rearrange classes to include only students who eat or do not eat at school.

With the rearrangement of classes in the "with/without meals" style, the school also announced that it would require parents if students finish eating and go home at noon, "to write a commitment to take responsibility" for ensuring the safety of students during that time.

Parents wonder if this is an "administrative procedure" created by the new principal himself to be associated with registering students for boarding meals at school?
