School opens bank account to raise nearly 108 million VND to support female student whose boat sank

Sympathizing with Xuan's family's difficult situation, the board of directors of Vinh Thanh High School decided to open a bank account to receive support from the community, hoping that Xuan will continue to study for the university entrance exam.

On May 30, Vinh Thanh High School (Vinh Thanh District, Can Tho City) - informed that the unit has given the money that teachers, parents, students of the school and benefactors donated to the situation of the "mobile home" which is the old boat on the river of the family of Truong Tuong Cong Ly Thi Song Xuan (currently a student of class 12C1 of the school) who unfortunately sank.

Although it is an old boat, it is the most valuable asset to Xuan's family. Knowing the difficult situation of Xuan's family of three, the school decided to open a bank account to receive donations from benefactors for Xuan.

Mr. Do Thanh Thien - Principal of Vinh Thanh High School - said that after a period of receiving, the school received a total amount of 107,416,000 million VND through the bank account number that the school registered.

"We have handed over the entire amount to Xuan's parents to help them stabilize their lives, especially so that Xuan can confidently review for the 12th grade graduation exam and university entrance exam," said Mr. Thien.

As Tuoi Tre reported earlier, the open letter from Vinh Thanh High School (Vinh Thanh District, Can Tho City) about the situation of Truong Tuong Cong Ly Thi Song Xuan was shared with many teachers, students and philanthropists in Can Tho.

The open letter reads: "I am Truong Tuong Cong Ly Thi Song Xuan, currently a student in class 12C1 of the school. My family is in very difficult circumstances, my parents and Xuan live on a small boat.

Recently, due to heavy rain, the boat unfortunately sank and all belongings were swept away. Currently, my family and I have no place to live, no property, no money. Although Xuan has a particularly difficult situation, she has always been a good and studious student at school."
