

At 11:35 AM on April 14th, the special aircraft carrying General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping landed at Noi Bai International Airport ( Hanoi ), beginning his state visit to Vietnam from April 14th to 15th at the invitation of General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong.

President Luong Cuong was at Noi Bai International Airport to welcome General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and the high-level Chinese delegation. Also present at the welcoming ceremony were Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee, and Standing Secretary of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Central Committee and Chief of the Central Party Office Le Hoai Trung; Central Committee member and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh; Alternate Central Committee member and Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu; and Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh.

Accompanying General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping on this visit to Vietnam are: Member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo, Secretary of the Secretariat, and Chief of the Central Office of the Central Committee Cai Qi; Member of the Politburo, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi; Secretary of the Secretariat, State Councilor, and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong; Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Head of the Central Liaison Department Liu Jianchao; Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of National Defense Dong Jun; Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the National Development and Reform Commission Zheng Shanjie; Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao; Deputy Director of the Central Policy Research Office Tang Fangyu; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Vietnam He Wei; Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong; and Director of the International Development Cooperation Bureau Luo Zhaohui.

The state visit to Vietnam also marks the first overseas trip of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping in 2025.



During the visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam, the two sides are expected to hold many important activities and sign numerous cooperation documents in a range of fields.

President Luong Cuong welcomed General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping at Noi Bai Airport.

This is the second state visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam during his third term.

As the leader of China, Xi Jinping has visited Vietnam four times, including once when he was Vice President in December 2011.

The visit of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to Vietnam takes place at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and the Vietnam-China Cultural Exchange Year 2025.

The People's Police Academy's drum ensemble and youth delegates, dressed in traditional Vietnamese ethnic costumes, participated in welcoming General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.
