White Night is not a new script, so staging this work is a challenge for People's Artist Xuan Bac. White Night - Uncle Ho's sleepless night because of a sentence, because of the corruption of the cadre - Director of the Military Logistics Department Hoang Trong Vinh... The play is gradually pushed to a climax thanks to the contrasting layers of scenes: the dangers that soldiers have to face, the lavish party when people have to fast every week to save rice for the resistance war, the pain of the wife when she learns that her husband has committed a crime...
White Night has a good cast to fill every position. The play has up to 100 actors participating and has "key" actors to fill difficult roles. That is artist Minh Hai when playing the role of Uncle Ho, bringing to the audience familiar emotions from his voice to his shoulders, the way he puts his hands on his hips... If White Nights is a night of contemplation, The Man in Rubber Sandals is an epic day. The play was adapted from a script by writer Kateb Yacine (Algeria). From the perspective of an Algerian, the image of Uncle Ho is built as the revolutionary leader of a colonial country, fighting for independence. The Vietnamese people are a nation that dared to stand up and fight for independence through many periods.
In The Man in Rubber Sandals , the entire length of the country's struggle against foreign invaders is recreated. From Hai Ba Trung to President Ho, The Man in Rubber Sandals is a "song of defending the country" on the drama stage. The play has many crowded scenes, showing the leaders in the support and following of the heroic people. These characters are mostly nameless, but always form a block when on stage. This creates a beautiful visual effect. Uncle Ho is also placed on such a background - closely attached to the people.

"New" artists, new audiences
Artist Minh Hai played the role of Uncle Ho in both the plays White Night and The Rubber Sandal Man . His roles as Uncle Ho on stage and in film were numerous and outstanding. On the stage of the Vietnam Drama Theater, Minh Hai played the role of Uncle Ho in two excerpts The Old Man in the Countryside and Sisters on the Day of Meeting Again ; the role of President Ho Chi Minh in White Night ; the role of Uncle Ho in the short plays Uncle Ho and That Spring and Solidarity is Strength . In film and television, Minh Hai played the role of Nguyen Ai Quoc in the film Overcoming the Shanghai Wharf , the television series Independence Will , the television drama Tears of Pac Bo Forest , etc.
Being an advantage to play the role of Uncle Ho with his small stature, Minh Hai also did not have much difficulty in dressing up like Uncle Ho. Besides, the artist is from Nghe An , so expressing the Central accent is even more convenient. Minh Hai's movements on stage show that he has practiced hard to have a close and simple image of Uncle Ho. He has practiced and has about 20 years of experience in acting with Uncle Ho's gestures and movements.
