Coach Cristiano Roland announced the list of U16 Vietnam players going to China to compete

This tournament is meant to help the Vietnam U16 team review and evaluate their strength towards the main goal of the 2026 Asian U17 Qualifiers.

According to the plan, the Vietnam U16 team will continue training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from May 10. It is expected that on May 23, the team will leave for Hohhot city (Inner Mongolia, China) to participate in the international U16 tournament organized by the Chinese Football Association (CFA).

The tournament takes place from May 28 to June 1. The tournament features the U16 teams of Australia, Saudi Arabia and host China.

These are all quality opponents, coming from strong football backgrounds in the continent. The tournament is considered a useful competition for the Vietnam U16 team.

In the list of the Vietnam U16 team that has just been announced, most of the excellent players with development potential have been given the opportunity to participate.

Some notable faces include goalkeeper Ly Xuan Hoa (best goalkeeper of the 2024 National U15 tournament), striker Nguyen Van Duong (best player and also top scorer of the 2024 National U15 tournament), midfielder Chu Ngoc Nguyen Luc (one of the key players in the Vietnam U17 team at the 2025 AFC U17 Championship)...
