Vietnam women's futsal coach shares after opening match of continental tournament

(NLDO) - On the afternoon of May 7, the Vietnamese women's futsal team had a favorable start in Group B of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship finals when they defeated Hong Kong (China) with a score of 5-3.

Speaking after the match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang was satisfied with the team's efforts: "Today's match was really difficult for us. The opening match is always a challenge. The coaching staff and I feel satisfied with the efforts of the players. The team's efforts have been duly rewarded. Although there are still many points that need to be improved, we thank the players for their best efforts."

Sharing about the moment when Hong Kong (China) equalized 3-3 in the second half, the head coach of the Vietnamese women's futsal team said: "Actually, the Vietnamese women's futsal team did not have the best rhythm at the beginning of each half. After being equalized, we reminded the players to stay focused and improve their tactics to resolve the situation on the field."

Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and the Vietnamese women's futsal team had a smooth opening match.

Despite winning all 3 points, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang still believes that the team needs to improve more in the next matches. "After this match, the coaching staff will review the video to analyze and make adjustments. It can be seen that we did not start the match well. Concentration at key moments is still a problem that needs to be overcome."

In the remaining match of Group B, Iran beat the Philippines 1-0. With a better goal difference, the Vietnamese team is leading the group and has the same 3 points as Iran.

On May 9, the team will meet the Philippines in the next match.
