The first leg of the 2024-2025 Champions League semi-final between Barca and Inter Milan will take place at 2:00 a.m. on May 1.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Barca coach Hansi Flick said defeating arch-rivals Real Madrid to win the Copa del Rey would provide extra motivation when hosting Inter Milan.
Flick's side are currently top of La Liga. And they completed the first part of their treble-winning campaign with a dramatic 3-2 extra-time win over Real Madrid last week.
When asked: Do you need to restrain the players' excitement before the important match with the Italian representative?
The German tactician replied: "No, what I see is that everyone is focused on this game. Everyone knows the importance of being able to reach the Champions League final.
Winning against Real was also important to create a positive atmosphere, and it motivates you. We know we have to work hard to get to the final.
Being here is everyone's dream, we have to stay focused," the Barca coach told reporters.
He also added about the opponent: "Inter have a squad with some players at an age where this is probably their last chance to reach the final. So they will play at 100% capacity"

The 60-year-old also confirmed that goalkeeper Szczesny will continue to be his first-choice in the Champions League, despite Andre ter Stegen recovering from a long-term injury.
As for Inter Milan, their treble hopes were dashed last week after being knocked out of the Coppa Italia semi-finals by AC Milan. Two successive defeats in Serie A have since seen them lose top spot to Napoli and fall three points behind their rivals.
However, coach Flick affirmed that he will not change his approach to the match because of the results of his opponent's recent matches.
