Coming to photography since 2020, despite her limited health, busy family matters, and not being able to create much, her love for photography is always burning. Considering herself a farmer holding a camera, she confided about her chance to come to photography, which was the opportunity to meet Photographer Tran Thao, learn about many works capturing unfortunate lives, see art photo exhibitions, feel the content of the photos... she liked it, but did not have the conditions to participate. Then, when she was given a camera, she poured her passion into it and seemed to forget all her worries. Also thanks to Photographer Tran Thao's introduction, she joined the Song Han Art Photography Club.
From an amateur to photography, there were many obstacles. When asked how she overcame them, she said that after finishing housework, she spent all her remaining time learning and experimenting, from how to take pictures to how to use a computer and do post-production.
Luckily, thanks to her family's support, she was able to travel with the club members to many places and exhibit photos... She loves taking pictures of landscapes and everyday life, so she took advantage of the opportunity to compose: Hoi An in flood season, Thanh Toan tile bridge in Hai Hau, taking pictures of the Milky Way at night, and recently the national lion dance festival in Da Nang...
Among them, the work on flood season in Hoi An brings many emotions. She shared: “When taking pictures of Hoi An during the flood, my heart ached, feeling sorry for the people who have been attached to this land their whole lives, struggling to live in harsh conditions without complaining. I suddenly understood that true beauty comes not only from the magnificence, but also from the simplicity, from the strong will to live in hardship. The photos are also a voice of compassion, a story from the heart about the strong, emotional people of Hoi An. I don’t just take pictures, I also capture the will and kindness of the people here.”
Photography brings her comfort and many happy and sad memories. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she and the club went to Quang Ninh and received news that Da Nang was about to be locked down. The group had to get on the bus and drive through the night, returning before 7am to get into the city. Every year, the club organizes a creative trip, combined with gift giving, and she and her fellow members were able to share a little warmth and love with the disadvantaged people in the highlands.
Regarding her future plans, she said that "it depends a lot on her health", but the best thing is that after going through many ups and downs, thanks to photography, she has slowed down, is more patient, sees things more thoroughly, feels love for everything around her... and is always grateful to her first teacher - Photographer Tran Thao, the photography artists in Da Nang, and the club members who have helped and created the best conditions for her to participate in this interesting playground.
