Striker Nguyen Xuan Son, born in 1997, said: "I am very happy and tonight is a special night for me, the fans and the players. I respect the team members very much and everyone will focus fully on the upcoming match against Singapore in the first and second leg of the semi-finals. Since the second goal, the Vietnamese team has played more confidently, certainly believing that they will reach the semi-finals. However, I do not want to say much about the changes on the field because I want to see the coordination of the players".

The whole Xuan Son family sang the Vietnamese National Anthem together.

Striker Nguyen Xuan Son shared: "My whole family and I have practiced singing the Vietnamese National Anthem every day. I want to say that we respect the country and the Vietnamese people, who have always supported us. I always want to practice and improve, so that in 2-3 years I can communicate with everyone in Vietnamese. Today, the Myanmar midfielder said I am not Vietnamese and I replied that my family and I have been here for 5 years. I love this country and consider it my homeland. I want to devote my best to be useful for the Vietnamese team."
