Coach Kim Sang Sik answers press conference before the U23 Southeast Asia final

(Dan Tri) - Before the final match of U23 Southeast Asia 2025, coach Kim Sang Sik shared with the media about U23 Vietnam's championship chances.

Coach Kim Sang Sik and Vietnamese-American midfielder Viktor Le attended a press conference at 3pm today (July 28) at the press conference room of Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Indonesia). U23 Vietnam will face U23 Indonesia at 8pm tomorrow (July 29) at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

This is the second consecutive time that U23 Vietnam has played U23 Indonesia in the U23 Southeast Asian final. At the 2023 tournament in Thailand, the two teams drew 0-0 after 120 minutes, before U23 Vietnam won 6-5 in the penalty shootout thanks to the brilliance of goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan.

Vietnam U23 defeated Laos, Cambodia (group stage) and Philippines to book their place in this year's final. Indonesia U23 topped their group after defeating Brunei, Philippines, drawing with Malaysia before defeating Thailand U23 in the semi-finals.
