Le Huynh Duc: 'The defender of Ho Chi Minh City Police Club is still immature'
Ho Chi Minh City Police Club missed the chance to take second place in the table when they lost 0-1 to Hanoi Police Club (CAHN Club) in the match of round 8 of V-League, which took place at 7:15 p.m. on October 27. Notably, in this match, coach Le Huynh Duc's team had an advantage of one player from the 20th minute when Le Van Do received a direct red card, but still got stuck and lost the match.
"HCM City Police Club started the match well, creating many opportunities. We were lucky when the opponent lost their position, but the HCMC Police Club players were impatient, and the defenders were inexperienced. This defeat came because we did not prepare many attacking plans," Coach Le Huynh Duc regretted the early part of the match, when the away team had two dangerous situations in front of the home team CAHN Club's goal.

Coach Le Huynh Duc also acknowledged the level of CAHN Club. Despite being short of players, in the context of having to play on many fronts, the former V-League champion still dominated the game, even creating many scoring opportunities in the second half. "CAHN Club is a strong team. They had many good opportunities right from the beginning of the match. Because the opponent counterattacked well, we did not have the opportunity to put the ball in CAHN Club's net."
Coach Le Huynh Duc was not satisfied with young center back Khong Minh Gia Bao, who made a mistake in the only goal conceded by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Club. Gia Bao misjudged the landing point, allowing Alan Grafite to push past him before dribbling past goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang to score.
Gia Bao was born in 2000, a product of the People's Public Security youth academy. He used to play for Ninh Binh, Quang Nam , before joining the Ho Chi Minh City Police Club this season.
"Gia Bao handled the situation immaturely. In this match, we lacked foreign central defenders so we lacked connection and understanding. If the defenders had tried to communicate and understand each other better, Ho Chi Minh City Police Club would not have lost," said coach Le Huynh Duc.
Coach Polking: CAHN Club has blocked Tien Linh and the attack of Ho Chi Minh City Police Club
On the other side of the battle line, coach Alexandre Polking was proud because CAHN Club excellently won 3 points, despite having to play nearly 80 minutes (including extra time) with one less player.
Alan Grafite's only goal helped the former V-League champions remain unbeaten in the domestic competition this season. CAHN Club took second place, putting considerable pressure on the top team Ninh Binh .

"Van Do reacted hastily, leading to an unfortunate red card. Although he was one player behind his opponent, the spirit of the CAHN club players was very good. They played bravely, scored goals and defended their achievements. I am proud of the players' spirit. This is an important victory," Coach Polking shared.
CAHN Club is together with Ninh Binh maintaining an unbeaten streak after round 8. Coach Polking's team has 17 points after 7 matches (5 wins, 2 draws), 3 points behind the top team Ninh Binh, but still has 1 make-up match with HAGL. The second place in the table is an encouraging result, when CAHN Club has to compete on many playgrounds.
Coach Polking praised young goalkeeper Vu Thanh Vinh, who played well, keeping a clean sheet, helping CAHN FC secure the victory. Thanh Vinh was born in 2005 and grew up in the CAHN FC youth academy. He was the main player to replace Nguyen Filip, the 33-year-old goalkeeper who is absent due to injury.
"What Thanh Vinh has shown, from his fighting spirit to his confidence, shows that he deserves the opportunity. The coaching staff was absolutely right to let Thanh Vinh start as a goalkeeper," Coach Polking affirmed.
The Brazilian strategist also shared the tactics that helped CAHN Club lock down captain Tien Linh of the visiting team Cong An TP.HCM.
"Tien Linh is the best striker in Vietnam at the moment. However, in today's match, he only had one chance. CAHN Club defended safely, covering each other, making it difficult for the opposing strikers. We blocked crosses from the sidelines, so Tien Linh fell into an unfavorable situation to find a goal," Coach Polking concluded.
