Friendly environment, reasonable cost

With a friendly learning environment and reasonable costs, Phitsamay shared that the cultures between Vietnam and Laos have many similarities. This helps her feel close and easily integrate. The learning journey of international students like Phitsamay is a testament to the development of international education in Vietnam.

After more than a year of living and studying in Ho Chi Minh City, Phitsamay clearly feels the positive changes in himself. He is fully equipped with knowledge and professional skills about hotels... "The teachers here are very enthusiastic, train us thoroughly and support us in all activities. I find Vietnamese people very friendly and lovely, thanks to that I learn a lot of things", Phitsamay shared.

Also studying hotel management and business at Saigontourist College of Tourism and Hospitality, Phetbouaheuang Lienmaly (21 years old, also from Laos), said that Vietnam is one of the countries with a strongly developing tourism industry in the region. Promoting the internationalization of vocational education

Recently, many colleges and universities have proactively expanded international enrollment, cooperated in training, and organized student exchanges to affirm their position and gradually integrate into regional and international markets.

At Saigon Polytechnic College, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Lanh, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center, said that the school is currently training more than 500 foreign students from Myanmar, Cuba, Laos, Thailand... Among them, the most chosen majors are Japanese language, business administration, logistics... Students study mainly in English, while students from Laos are also given additional Vietnamese language training to serve communication and adapt to life.

Many cultural exchange activities, career orientation, and dormitory support are also regularly implemented to help international students feel friendly and integrate better when living in Vietnam.

Dr. Tran Manh Thanh, Principal of Bach Viet Polytechnic College, said that the school has just received a group of students from Myanmar to study a short-term program to improve Japanese language skills in the field of economics and trade. The program lasts 6 months, taught entirely in Japanese. "The students all have a certain foundation, mainly working people, studying and securing work remotely online. This is also the first time the school has implemented a model of receiving foreign students under such training, opening up a new direction in international training cooperation," Dr. Thanh informed.

In addition, since the beginning of the year, Saigontourist College of Tourism and Hospitality has welcomed international students and lecturers from Hungary and Canada to exchange, study and experience. Master Vo Thi My Van, Principal of the school, said that the school has also sent students to study and experience in Hungary according to the signed agreement, and is currently building a program to send Vietnamese students to study in Canada, further expanding opportunities for two-way international training exchanges.

Thu Duc College of Technology (TDC) also strengthens the expansion of international cooperation. Recently, TDC welcomed a delegation of lecturers and students from Pangasinan State University (Philippines) within the framework of the “EAST Summer Camp 2025” program. Experiential activities include training in technology skills, arts, culture, etc.

In September 2025, the school also welcomed a delegation of 27 students and teachers from the Incheon Department of Education (Korea) to participate in the I-Career 2025 career orientation program. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Huu Loc, Principal of the school, emphasized that the program is not only an opportunity for students from both countries to exchange, study and experience practical professions, but also helps them have a clearer career orientation, contributing to improving the quality of vocational training, meeting the increasing needs of modern society.
