On the morning of October 30th, the People's Committee of An Dong Ward, Cho Lon and Cho Quan (formerly District 5, Ho Chi Minh City) held a press conference to announce the Cho Lon Food Story festival. The festival brings together famous and long-standing restaurant brands, ensuring and maintaining consistent quality across all editions.

This year's Cho Lon Food Festival, themed "Fragrance and Color of Five Flavors," will take place from December 5th to 7th, 2025. "Fragrance" symbolizes the alluring aroma of the dishes, evoking long-standing traditions. "Color" represents the vibrant colors of the festival space and the dishes, reflecting the diversity and richness of culinary culture.
"The Five Flavors" are the five basic flavors in Eastern cuisine, considered symbols of the balance of yin and yang, and the five elements (metal, wood, water, fire, earth); they also represent the five Chinese language groups: Teochew, Hokkien, Cantonese, Hainanese, and Hakka.
The event aims to preserve, honor, and spread the unique culinary values of the Vietnamese and Chinese communities in the Cholon area.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of the An Dong Ward People's Committee, said that the event is not only a unique culinary festival but also a cultural bridge where the culinary essence of Vietnamese and Chinese people is honored and widely disseminated in the community.

The festival aims to offer domestic and international visitors a complete culinary experience, where each dish tells a story, and each flavor evokes cultural memories.
