On the morning of October 30, the People's Committee of An Dong Ward, Cho Lon and Cho Quan (formerly District 5, Ho Chi Minh City) held a press conference to inform about the Cho Lon Food Story culinary festival. The festival brings together famous, long-standing restaurant brands, ensuring and maintaining consistent quality through each organization.

This year's Cho Lon Food Festival has the theme "Fragrance and color of five flavors", taking place from December 5 to 7, 2025. In which, "fragrance" symbolizes the attractive aroma of dishes, reminiscent of long-standing traditions. "Color" represents the brilliant colors of the festival space and dishes, reflecting the diversity and richness of culinary culture.
"Five flavors" are the five basic flavors in Oriental cuisine, considered a symbol of the balance of yin and yang, the five elements (metal, wood, water, fire, earth); and also represent the five ethnic Chinese language groups: Teochew, Fujian, Cantonese, Hainan, and Hakka (Hali).
The event aims to preserve, honor and spread the unique culinary values of the Vietnamese and Chinese communities in the Cho Lon area.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of An Dong Ward People's Committee, said that the event is not only a unique culinary festival but also a cultural bridge where the culinary quintessence of Vietnamese and Chinese people is honored and widely spread in the community.

The festival hopes to bring domestic and foreign tourists a complete experience, where each dish is a story, each flavor is a cultural memory. Participants can directly prepare dishes with the chef, the food tour discovery area, introducing the typical culinary destinations of Cho Lon.
