Indonesian newspaper: 'Four naturalized players are still not enough to match the Vietnamese women's national team'

Indonesian media suggest that the complete inferiority in skill and squad quality were the reasons why their women's team suffered a heavy defeat against the Vietnamese women's team in the semi-finals of the SEA Games 33.

The disparity in skill level led to a crushing defeat for the Indonesian women's team.

In the semi-final match of the women's football tournament at the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's team easily defeated the Indonesian women's team 5-0. Hai Yen and Bich Thuy were the shining stars in the attack, each contributing a brace. Meanwhile, the remaining goal for the Vietnamese women's team in this match was scored by captain Huynh Nhu.

After the semi-final match concluded, CNN Indonesia commented: "Despite fielding all four naturalized players, including Iris de Rouw, Emily Nahon, De Zeeuw, and Warps Ipa Guusje, the Indonesian women's team could not stop the Vietnamese women's team.
