Specifically, starting tomorrow (December 16th), Vietjet will serve passengers checking in for flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Thanh Hoa and Hanoi at Hall A, Terminal 1, Tan Son Nhat Airport (the check-in area for other airlines before they move to the new Terminal 3). Other flights departing from Ho Chi Minh City will continue to serve passengers at Hall B, Terminal 1.

Vietjet stated that it has sent information to passengers and arranged sufficient signage and support staff in both Hall A and Hall B to guide passengers to the correct areas for check-in procedures, ensuring a convenient and safe experience on all flights.

Since the inauguration of Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport, airlines have gradually moved out of the domestic passenger terminal at Terminal 1.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines , Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Bamboo Airways, and Vietravel Airlines have all moved to Terminal 3; only Vietjet Air continues to operate at Terminal 1.

Leaders of the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) have stated that Terminal 1, after decades of operation, has seriously deteriorated. From the drainage system and restrooms to the equipment and amenities, everything is outdated and unusable. Therefore, ACV is considering demolishing the old terminal to build a new infrastructure project. This is just a general plan; the specific details regarding construction, scale, and funding will be developed after the completion of Long Thanh Airport.

Initially, Tan Son Nhat Airport will reorganize Terminal T1, moving all Vietjet procedures to Hall A, and renovating Hall B into a transit area connecting Terminals T1, T2, and T3.
