Amidst the hustle and bustle of urban life, "third spaces" - places to connect the community - are gradually becoming scarce. Understanding that, nearly 200 students and lecturers from 13 prestigious domestic and international universities, including the University of Industrial Fine Arts, Hanoi University of Architecture, University of Construction and schools from Japan and Thailand have turned simple cardboard into artistic public spaces, carrying the message of sustainability. This is a creative playground to promote sustainable design thinking, encouraging young designers to go beyond conventional stereotypes.
Mr. Luu Viet Thang - Founder of the Vietnamese Young Interior Design Community shared: "The festival is an important stepping stone to develop the scale, becoming a useful playground for design students, contributing to making Hanoi a creative design center in the region".
The special highlight of the festival is that all the works are made from environmentally friendly cardboard. The works not only show high aesthetics but also carry profound messages about environmental protection and sustainable development. Notably, all works after the exhibition will be collected for recycling, completing the material life cycle.

The festival is part of the activities accompanying Hanoi - Creative City, organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Young Interior Design Community and the Vietnam Furniture Association. The event affirms the strong development of the young design community in the capital, while contributing to promoting the image of a dynamic and creative Hanoi.
The exhibition is open to the public until November 30, 2025, promising to continue to be an attractive cultural and artistic destination, attracting a large number of Hanoians and tourists.
