Some payment services from Napas are interrupted

Vietnam National Payment Corporation (Napas) has just announced a plan to convert the technical system from the Main Center (DC) to the Backup Center (DRC).

During the transition period, some payment services made from commercial bank accounts will be temporarily interrupted.

Accordingly, service interruptions are expected to occur twice, each lasting 60 minutes: from 0:00 to 1:00 a.m. on October 27; from 0:00 to 1:00 a.m. on October 31. Banking services that may be interrupted include interbank express transfers, VietQR, and Thai QR.

Upon receiving the notification from Napas, banks also sent notifications to customers. Specifically, applications at the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) will be affected: eBanking, Agribank Plus transactions to Citibank, Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank), Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MSB), Bao Viet Commercial Joint Stock Bank (BVBank), Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB ), Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank), An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBank), Woori Vietnam Limited Liability Bank.

In addition, money transfer transactions to Agribank from banks via Napas system may not be possible during the above period.

However, the bilateral payment systems between Agribank and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ), the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade of Vietnam (VietinBank), the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB), the 24/7 bilateral payment system between Agribank and BIDV, VietinBank and the interbank electronic payment system are still operating normally.

Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) informs about the affected services: Money transfer and payment via VPBank NEO digital bank (on website, mobile web and mobile application); 24/7 interbank money transfer transactions (including money transfer via VietQR); online payment by buy now, pay later (PayLater) via Napas portal; account balance change notification service by sound.

In addition, the operations of domestic debit cards (Napas) issued by VPBank are also temporarily interrupted, including interbank cash withdrawal transactions at ATMs using domestic debit cards; online payment transactions via cards such as automatic payment scheduling, bill payment; transactions at POS machines; and services of transferring, receiving and withdrawing money from cards.
