On October 27th, in Hai Phong, the Central Youth Union Council, the Vietnam Children's Support and Development Center, in coordination with the Vietnam Post Corporation and the Vietnam Philatelic Association, launched the 2026 Postal Stamp Collection and Research Contest with the theme " The Communist Party of Vietnam and the journey of national development through postage stamps".
The theme for 2026 holds special significance. The goal is to help students understand the Party's leadership role in the nation's historical turning points, and to identify milestones in the country's development through each postage stamp. From there, the competition contributes to fostering pride, deep gratitude, and a sense of responsibility in the younger generation in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Central Youth Union Council and Head of the competition organizing committee, Le Anh Quan, emphasized that the competition is a practical activity aimed at celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Party. By participating in the competition, the children not only learn about history and recognize the Party's leadership role in the nation-building process, but more importantly, they are able to place themselves within the flow of the nation's history.

"When you study well, you are making the nation stronger. When you live beautifully, you are continuing a glorious tradition. When you express your dreams through your entries, you are contributing the voice of your generation to the great story of the country; each entry is not only an intellectual product, but also a tribute to the past, a commitment to the future, a 'red mark' of patriotism imprinted on each postage stamp," Comrade Le Anh Quan shared.
The 2026 Stamp Collecting and Research Contest will run from October 27, 2025 to March 27, 2026. This is an annual event for children and teenagers nationwide, aged 8 to 15 (grades 3 to 9), studying at primary and secondary schools, children's centers, and youth activity centers.

During the ceremony, the Central Youth Union Council also awarded 20 scholarships (1 million VND each) and 30 gifts to children of Quang Trung Primary School, aiming to encourage them to continue preserving the traditions of the Youth Union, fostering gratitude and national pride.
The rules and questions for the competition are posted on the Vietnam Post Corporation website: http://www.vnpost.vn; and the Central Youth Union Council website: http://www.thieunhivietnam.vn.
