The "For Female Students Overcoming Difficulties and Excelling in Studies" project aims to support female students from disadvantaged backgrounds who strive for academic excellence and are currently studying at public universities in Ho Chi Minh City. The scholarships will continue until they graduate and complete their academic year.
Each year, the project aims to award scholarships to at least 150 female full-time students with good or excellent academic results, helping to support them on their educational journey and personal development.
In addition to financial support, the project also organizes at least three skills training courses for female students, including communication skills, interview skills, time management, CV writing, and topics on health care and holistic development.

Speaking at the launch ceremony of the project "For female students who overcome difficulties and excel in their studies," Associate Professor Dr. Truong Thi Hien - President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women Intellectuals Association - shared that the project embodies the aspiration to support and accompany studious female students on their journey to conquer knowledge and affirm themselves.
Vietnamese women in general, and female intellectuals in particular, have always played a crucial role in the building and development of the country. However, behind the doors of every university, many female students still face the worries of making ends meet, yet they persevere in pursuing their dreams of education.
"Therefore, the humanitarian significance of the project lies not only in financial support, but also in the belief, sharing, and the message that the students are not alone on their educational journey. These scholarships today represent the love and trust of many kind hearts, contributing to further motivating the students to continue striving and achieving even higher accomplishments," she shared.
On behalf of the students, Vo Thi Thanh, a second-year student in the Journalism and Communication Faculty at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, stated that the scholarship is a great source of encouragement and motivation for female students from disadvantaged backgrounds like herself to continue striving, excelling in their studies, and serving society.
