Speaking at the press conference, Head Coach of the Vietnamese women's team Mai Duc Chung said that the whole team was very happy and proud to play a friendly match with Werder Bremen Club on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany. This was a very meaningful match for each member of the team and the whole team was proud to be a part of this important event.

Coach Mai Duc Chung said that the Vietnamese women's team does not focus on the result: "The team has only been together for a week, and the preparation is not complete. This match is a friendly match, we enter the field with the spirit of learning but will play with high determination."

Coach Mai Duc Chung said that in terms of expertise, the match will bring useful experiences for Vietnamese players to prepare for the goals in 2025. He added that the Vietnamese women's team will gather from May 6. In addition, the number of Vietnamese players in this gathering will lack some young faces who are gathering with the Vietnam U19 women's team and especially the number of players from the Ho Chi Minh City women's club (because the club is focusing on the semi-finals of the Asian Club Championship).

“Through this match, we will learn a lot about expertise, especially in the period when the team is rejuvenating its squad. The Vietnamese women's team will need to have a harmonious arrangement between experienced players and young players to help the new players get used to the style of play. Therefore, we set a learning goal, the whole team will compete with high determination to bring about the best results" - Coach Mai Duc Chung said.

For his part, the Werder Bremen coach also expressed his excitement ahead of the friendly match with the Vietnamese team.

Mr. Thomas Horsch shared: "We are very happy and proud to be in Hanoi , Vietnam. We are honored to be part of the preparation of the Vietnamese women's team for the upcoming tournaments.

The team just finished the Bundesliga season last weekend, then the whole team moved here. The weather in Hanoi is very different, we will try to adapt."

"I don't know much about the Vietnamese team, but I watched the friendly match between the women's team and RB Leipzig in Germany. Their players have good technique and are even. This is a new experience for Werder Bremen when facing a high-level opponent. The Vietnamese women's team has played in the World Cup and played a friendly match with the German team. Therefore, we decided to bring a very strong squad. We will try our best in tomorrow's match," said Mr. Horsch.

I will try my best and be determined for tomorrow's match. I hope there will be many spectators coming to watch the match between the two teams," Walkling shared.
