Coach Mourinho was suddenly accused of match-fixing

(Dan Tri) - Famous Turkish commentator, Sinan Engin, suddenly accused coach Mourinho of match-fixing.

After leaving Fenerbahce, Coach Mourinho took over the head coach position at Benfica. It is worth mentioning that Benfica was the team that eliminated Fenerbahce from the Champions League, causing the “Special One” to be fired by the Turkish club.

This has led to Mourinho facing shocking allegations. Turkish commentator Sinan Engin claims that the Portuguese tactician had planned to leave in advance, even meeting with Benfica’s lawyers before the match against Fenerbahce. Therefore, he “intentionally” lost to Benfica.

Speaking on the Deep Football program on Beyaz TV, Engin said: “Coach Mourinho met with Benfica’s lawyer at a hotel, right before the match between Benfica and Fenerbahçe. They had a working session there, even booked another room. The plan to part ways with Fenerbahçe was prepared by Mourinho. If they want, Benfica can confirm it.”

Commentator Engin said that Fenerbahce and Benfica's defeats showed many unusual signs. He called on FIFA and UEFA to investigate: "UEFA and FIFA must investigate this! Mourinho calculated to leave and deliberately let Fenerbahce be eliminated. He even sarcastically said: "What are you doing in the Champions League?"

Not stopping there, Mr. Engin also publicly criticized Coach Mourinho harshly: "If he wanted, Coach Mourinho could meet Rui Costa and influence whether Kerem Akturkoglu would play or not, because he has such influence.

But he chose to keep quiet and accept the money. It was a despicable act. I am telling the whole of Türkiye who he really is. Fenerbahce fans were angry when we criticized him but you did not dare to speak out against him.”

Currently, neither coach Mourinho, Fenerbahce nor Benfica have responded to the above accusations. The coach born in 1963 led Benfica in two matches (both in the Portuguese national championship). In which, the club won AVS and drew Rio Ave.
