On the afternoon of June 15, Nam Dinh defeated Quang Nam 2-0 to win the 2024/25 V.League championship one round early. This is also the second consecutive time this team has stepped onto the podium of glory. Notably, the match at Tam Ky Stadium also marked the milestone of 100 matches of coach Vu Hong Viet with Nam Dinh.
After two seasons working at Thien Truong Stadium, Coach Vu Hong Viet brought Nam Dinh back to the position of a top team. He and his students won two consecutive V.League championships (2023/24 and 2024/25), won the 2023/24 National Super Cup, and participated in many top matches of domestic football. He was also honored as the best coach of the 2023/24 season and received the title of best coach of the month four times.
After 100 official matches with Nam Dinh, coach Vu Hong Viet helped the team have 52 wins, 22 draws and scored a total of 182 goals. Nam Dinh became one of the clubs with the most effective attack in V.League in the last two seasons.
Stability on the coaching bench, cohesive playing style and a well-built squad are the foundations that help the team from Thanh Nam break through. From a team that often had to compete for relegation, Nam Dinh has now become a new symbol of success in the domestic arena.
The 100-match milestone is a recognition of the steadfast journey of coach Vu Hong Viet, who is laying the foundation for Nam Dinh's ambition to go further next season.
