Vietnam's largest irrigation reservoir continues to discharge water through the spillway for 4 days

The discharge flow of Dau Tieng Lake is 100m3/s, the total discharge volume is 25.92 million m3.

At 6:00 a.m. on October 1, Dau Tieng Lake's water level was at 22.9 meters, with an inflow of about 161 cubic meters per second.

To have flood prevention capacity, proactively respond to the flood situation in the coming time, ensure project safety, prevent and reduce floods for downstream areas, Southern Irrigation Exploitation Company Limited has started to discharge water through the spillway of Dau Tieng reservoir, phase 1, 2024.

Time starts from 7:00 on October 1 to 7:00 on October 4; discharge flow is 100m3/s, total discharge volume is 25.92 million m3.

After this day, Southern Irrigation Exploitation Company Limited continues to discharge and maintain the flow behind the dam according to the process with a flow rate of 36m3/s.

Along with that, depending on the hydrometeorological situation in the basin, the lake water level, and the tides in the downstream of the Saigon River, the company will adjust the discharge time and flow to suit the actual situation and will notify later.
