Support farmer members to develop economy

The Associations at all levels have promoted and improved the effectiveness of the Farmers' Support Fund. Up to now, the total source of the Farmers' Support Fund at all levels in the province is managing 38,683 billion VND for loans to 297 projects with 1,470 borrowers (of which the Central Farmers' Support Fund entrusted by the Association is 15.9 billion VND; the Provincial Farmers' Support Fund is 4.6 billion VND; the District and grassroots funds are over 18 billion VND). The borrowers have used the capital for the right purposes and produced effectively, thereby contributing to creating jobs for over 3,000 workers, increasing income for members, and promoting socio -economic development in the locality. The Associations at all levels have also actively coordinated with the Social Policy Bank (CSXH), the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) to support capital for farmer members to organize production. Up to now, the total outstanding debt from the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Nam Dinh and North Nam Dinh branches is 13,552 billion VND for 35,506 households borrowing through 1,653 loan groups; the entrustment from the Bank for Social Policies is 1,824 billion VND for 38,560 households borrowing through 1,074 loan groups.

The Association at all levels coordinates with central agencies, local sectors, enterprises, scientists, organizations and individuals at home and abroad to mobilize resources to support members and farmers in developing production and business such as: organizing services to supply materials for agricultural production; transferring scientific and technological advances; building effective economic models. From 2017 to present, the Association at all levels has coordinated to organize 1,525 training sessions for over 185,000 participants, 3 "Farmer Bridges", 1 "Farmer Competition", demonstrating more than 769 technical models of cultivation, animal husbandry, aquaculture... Supporting the transfer of techniques to build a model project of raising mullet combined with shrimp farming in Bach Long commune (Giao Thuy); a model of raising all-male goby fish in Rang Dong town (Nghia Hung). Through the development program, the application of science and technology, the level of intensive farming and production of farmers is constantly improved, contributing to improving productivity, quality and product value in agricultural production. Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province regularly coordinate with units to organize vocational training for rural workers. From 2017 to now, the whole province has organized 658 vocational training classes for over 23,000 rural workers, of which the Provincial Vocational Training and Farmers' Support Center organized 85 classes for 2,870 rural workers, 85% of whom have jobs and stable income after training. Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province also regularly promote and introduce children of farmers' association members to study and work abroad, from 2017 to now, they have introduced jobs for 750 people to work in Korea.

In order to support farmers in building brands, geographical indications, connecting supply and demand, promoting, introducing and consuming products, the Provincial Farmers' Association coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Agriculture and Environment to guide farmer members in building brands, geographical indications, and building OCOP products. Coordinated with the Provincial Post Office to organize more than 100 propaganda classes to guide farmers in bringing products to e-commerce platforms, including POSTMART (now buudien.vn). Up to now, the Farmers' Associations of districts and cities have coordinated with the District Post Office to support farmers in bringing nearly 500 agricultural products and goods to the e-commerce platform buudien.vn. The Provincial Farmers' Association also coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to implement trade promotion programs through fairs to introduce and promote products of units, enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, and good production and business households with products. In addition, the Farmers' Associations of the districts have also actively coordinated with the District Industry and Trade Office to organize Trade, Service and Agricultural Fairs in the district to introduce products of farmers' association members in the district. Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province have coordinated with enterprises and Farmers' Associations of provinces and cities nationwide to promote and support the consumption of thousands of tons of agricultural products each year, in which the Provincial Vocational Training and Farmers' Support Center directly directed the province to support the consumption of 50-100 tons/year. Implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the Associations at all levels in the province have also promoted propaganda activities, supported the promotion and introduction of products, built brands and trademarks of agricultural products, and connected farmers' products to be consumed at supermarkets and fairs.

In addition, the Farmers' Association from the province to the grassroots level has coordinated to organize many activities to honor farmers with information technology, technical innovation competitions for farmers, honor outstanding farmers, honor typical agricultural products, and promote typical innovations of farmers. The Associations at all levels have actively and proactively promoted, mobilized, and guided farmers to apply information technology to agricultural production to improve the quality of agricultural products, ensure food hygiene and safety; fostered and equipped knowledge about scientific and technical advances, laws, and markets for farmers, especially farm and household owners. The Provincial Farmers' Association introduced 3 delegates to participate in the "Scientist of Farmers" honoring ceremony; 1 delegate to participate in the "Creative Farmer" program; 4 farmers to participate in the "I am a 4.0 farmer" contest. Organize training courses on computer and smartphone skills within the framework of the project “Improving the capacity to use computers, smartphones and the internet for officials and farmer members”. Coordinate with departments and branches to select 3 products to participate in the vote for typical agricultural products; 8 farmer members participate in the vote for the title “Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer”.

Through these specific and practical support activities of the Farmers' Association at all levels, it has encouraged farmer members to invest resources in economic development, compete in production and business, strive to get rich, contribute to building new rural areas, and improve farmers' lives. As a result, in 2024, Farmers' Associations at all levels organized, promoted, and mobilized 246,873 households to register for the title of good production and business at all levels. Farmer members have participated in building 459 "Large Field" models with a total area of ​​21,037 hectares, of which 4,000 hectares were guaranteed products; built 19 agricultural cooperative models with 203 members participating; 210 cooperative groups with 2,979 members participating; 203 models of branches and professional farmer associations with over 2,600 members participating.
