Emergency financial support for Hue city, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces to overcome the consequences of natural disasters

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 2485/QD-TTg to support 700 billion VND from the central budget reserve in 2025 for 4 localities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

This funding source is aimed at supporting housing for people (rebuilding collapsed houses, repairing houses with damaged roofs, etc.), stabilizing residents in urgent natural disaster areas, restoring essential infrastructure works (education, health, transportation, irrigation, etc.), specifically including: Hue city 100 billion VND, Quang Ngai province 100 billion VND, Gia Lai province 300 billion VND and Dak Lak province 200 billion VND as proposed by the Ministry of Finance in Document No. 17721/BTC-NSNN dated November 14.

The Ministry of Finance is responsible for the contents, data of reports and proposals, recommendations, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

The People's Committees of provinces and cities are responsible for: Proactively balancing local budget expenditures, together with the funds supported by the central budget and other legal financial resources to carry out urgent tasks to overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to regulations. Manage and use the above-mentioned additional funds, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the law on the State budget and other relevant legal documents, ensuring the correct purpose of use, correct objects, publicity, transparency, avoiding loss, negativity, waste; at the same time, report the results of use to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and relevant agencies for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister.

This Decision comes into force from the date of signing.
