Support for agricultural production development

(CT) - According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City, in the period of 2021-2025, the city will focus on implementing many forms of support for farmers to develop agricultural production.

The city organized more than 540 training courses, models and projects attracting many farmers to participate, including over 3,440 poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty people. Farmers were trained, improved their understanding of collective economy , application of technical advances in production and animal husbandry, guided on the process of registering growing area codes for fruit export, clean and organic rice cultivation techniques; supported with materials, raw materials, plant varieties, livestock... Thereby, building a number of effective production models, increasing income, such as: raising frogs and hedgehogs, hedgehogs, growing oyster mushrooms, organic vegetables; raising goats, breeding cows, raising chickens combined with biological bedding; growing clean vegetables combined with fish farming... The models help people improve their livelihoods, contributing to spreading the mindset of sustainable and environmentally friendly production.
