(HNMO) - On the evening of May 11, U22 Vietnam had a match against U22 Thailand in the final match of Group B of men's football at SEA Games 32.

Vietnam U22 players had a 1-1 draw with Thailand U22 (blue shirt).

In this match, both holding a ticket to the semi-finals of the men's football SEA Games 32, both U22 Vietnam and U22 Thailand entered the match determined to win the top spot in Group B, as well as affirm their position in Southeast Asia.

Right after the opening whistle, both teams quickly attacked. However, U22 Vietnam unexpectedly conceded an early goal in the 2nd minute of the first half.

From the situation where Luong Duy Cuong slipped, Achitpol quickly escaped and fired a long-range shot into the red team's net, opening the score for the "Little War Elephants". The early goal helped U22 Thailand play very comfortably. Coach Ithsara Sritharo's students proactively played slowly and steadily on their home field, creating opportunities for U22 Vietnam to control the ball better.

On the U22 Vietnam side, the red-shirted players quickly attacked to find an equalizer. Continuously overwhelming the attack, but unfortunately the U22 Vietnam players' shots were inaccurate. In addition, the U22 Thailand players played disciplined. The first half ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of U22 Thailand.

In the second half, U22 Vietnam took the initiative to attack. In the 55th minute, Luong Duy Cuong tried to win the ball from the Thai U22 player and passed it to Nhat Nam who finished accurately to score the equalizer for U22 Vietnam.

In the following minutes, U22 Thailand attacked with many situations approaching the Vietnamese goal. But fortunately, in dangerous situations, goalkeeper Doan Huy Hoang played very focused.

In the final minutes of the match, coach Philippe Troussier's players regained their spirits and attacked with high pressing, creating many dangerous situations towards the opponent's goal. The most notable of these was Van Truong's dribble. The match ended with a score of 1-1.

With this result, U22 Thailand and U22 Vietnam both have 10 points after 4 matches. However, U22 Thailand leads Group B due to a better goal difference than U22 Vietnam.

Thus, U22 Vietnam will face U22 Indonesia, while U22 Thailand will only have to face U22 Myanmar in the semi-finals of men's football at SEA Games 32.
