In a touching moment, the Executive Committee of the Education Trade Union sent thanks to the grassroots trade union officials. With their utmost efforts, after another school year, the union has completed the assigned tasks. After the conference, 6 grassroots trade unions were dissolved, 48 grassroots trade unions were transferred to the Provincial Labor Federation. In the context that the whole country is focusing on implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the political system, this conference is also very different from previous school years. The conference was held in June instead of August as every year. The summary report did not set out the main tasks for the next school year, instead, it was urgent to carry out the final tasks on organization and finance to end the 48-year journey of the An Giang Education Trade Union on June 30, 2025.
In the final meeting, the conference gave priority to delegates to express their feelings, thoughts, and emotions about the time they worked together under the "common roof"... "In the current situation where trade union activities have changed a lot and are not yet specific, we hope that the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Departmentof Education and Training (GD&DT) will continue to pay attention to directing the work of caring for union members and workers (NLĐ) with appropriate forms and solutions in the new situation. The grassroots trade unions transferred to the Provincial Federation of Labor will certainly have concerns that they will encounter in the coming time, and we hope that the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor will guide their activities" - Chairman of the Education Trade Union Nguyen Chi Son expressed.
Completing the 48-year journey of An Giang Education Trade Union
In the 2024-2025 school year, the An Giang Education Trade Union has achieved many positive results. The grassroots trade unions have a total of 1,101 initiatives recognized at the industry level, including 29 initiatives from the union (12 initiatives were recognized). Many units received emulation flags, provincial-level certificates of merit in the thematic emulation and certificates of merit from the Education Trade Union. In caring for the union, the union visited 37 union members, employees and relatives who suffered from serious illnesses or passed away from the industry union support fund contributed by union members, teachers and employees, with a total amount of 314 million VND. In addition, the union visited and supported gifts for union members in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, with a total amount of 192 million VND...
Chairman of the Education Trade Union Nguyen Chi Son said that in the last days of the organization's operation, the union has always cared for the lives of union members. Most recently, it has requested the Provincial Federation of Labor to support the repair of the Union Shelter in An Tuc commune, worth 150 million VND; organize the Education Trade Union Football and Volleyball Tournament; visit and give gifts to support union members of the Khmer ethnic minority on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay... bringing joy, excitement, and connection between union members, their work units and the union organization.
Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Thi Ngoc Diem informed that from the 2020-2021 school year, the education sector began implementing the 2018 General Education Program and just completed the roadmap last May. During the innovation period, there were many difficulties, the final stage saw more changes in training, exams; organizational arrangement... The grassroots trade unions have done a good job of coordinating with school principals to consolidate, stabilize the ideology and care for the lives of staff and teachers at the unit. Along with that, they coordinated well in professional work as well as emulation movements, contributing to the government's excellent completion of tasks.
During the past 5-year term, the entire education sector received 3 emulation flags and 1 certificate of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training; 1 emulation flag and 3 certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee. Sharing with the union officials, Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Thi Ngoc Diem emphasized: "In the coming time, no matter what position you hold, even if you are no longer the union president, your roots are still teachers. Therefore, you need to strive to continue to contribute, fulfill your duties, maintain the "fire and passion" of union workers to use your experience to support school principals to complete their tasks well and students are the beneficiaries, joining hands to train a generation of young people to develop comprehensively". |
