Hoang Dong focuses on improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

Over the past years, with the attention and direction of local Party committees and authorities; the consensus and active response of the people in socio-economic development in general, cultural, artistic, physical education and sports movements, and civilized urban lifestyle in particular, the material and spiritual life of the people of Hoang Dong ward (Duy Tien town) has been constantly improved and enhanced. Cultural, artistic and physical education and sports movements have become indispensable spiritual food for all classes of people here.

Every afternoon, after school, Vu Hoang Dat, an 8th grader living in Hoang Ly residential group, goes with his friends to the soccer field in Ngoc Dong communal house area (Ngoc Dong residential group) to play soccer. Vu Hoang Dat said: We feel very safe playing soccer here, there is a spacious and comfortable place to park bicycles, the grass field is flat, beautiful and clean. We play soccer to both exercise and to interact and strengthen relationships with friends in the same ward.

Not only in Ngoc Dong residential group, the campus of Hoang Thuong residential group's cultural house is also a place for people here to have fun and exercise. In addition to the volleyball court, in front of the campus of the cultural house, there are sports training equipment for people, such as: swings, single bars, parallel bars... in a spacious, airy space, each person chooses a sport suitable for their health, such as: walking, yoga, folk dancing. Everyone is excited to practice and have fun after working and studying hours. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang shared: Every afternoon, I choose walking as a gentle but effective form of exercise. Elderly people like me who diligently walk every day will bring great benefits to their health. After walking, I find that my food tastes better, limits the underlying diseases of the elderly, controls blood pressure, cardiovascular...

Sports training equipment is installed in the cultural house area of Hoang Thuong residential group to create conditions for people to exercise.

In recent years, the cultural, artistic and sports movements of Hoang Dong ward have developed in both breadth and depth. Notably, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" is associated with the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho". In residential groups, there are art troupes, sports clubs, folk dance clubs... attracting a large number of people to actively participate in exchanges and performances at local cultural and artistic competitions and programs. On holidays and Tet, the ward organizes volleyball competitions, Olympic Running Day for the health of all people; coordinates with the Women's Union of Duy Tien town to organize a competition for excellent propaganda collaborators on "Vietnamese family culture", participates in the Ha Nam province's mobile propaganda festival with the theme of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas...

With the attention and facilitation of cultural, artistic and sports activities of the ward Party Committee and government, the material and spiritual life of the people here is constantly improved and enhanced, creating a driving force to promote patriotic emulation movements and socio-economic development. In 2024, the average income per capita of the ward will reach 105 million VND, an increase of 18.6% compared to 2023; security and order are ensured, more than 96% of households are recognized as Cultural Families, 100% of residential areas maintain the title of Cultural Residential Area, the poverty rate is reduced to 0.95% and 100% of people have access to clean and hygienic water. All residential groups maintain the model of "Self-management group for traffic safety and order"; "Commune and ward have no drug-related crimes"; "3 management, 3 knowledge". Every year on November 18, the National Great Unity Day is held, ensuring joy and meaning, associated with community activities, cultural and artistic activities, sports; organizing great unity meals, creating an exciting and joyful atmosphere among the people. The festival also commends and rewards cultural families, cultural residential areas, and exemplary individuals...

In the coming time, in order for the cultural, artistic and sports movement to spread more and more widely, the ward will continue to direct sectors and organizations to propagate and encourage people to actively participate in cultural, artistic and sports activities; mobilize resources to build and install outdoor sports training equipment to create conditions for people to practice to improve their health and quality of life. Along with that, promote the implementation of the Campaign "Building a civilized urban lifestyle"; regularly organize cultural, artistic and sports programs, exchanges and competitions, contributing to building a healthy residential area and a civilized urban area.
