On the afternoon of April 14, at the 2nd meeting of the Party Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City - gave a speech on the progress of activities to celebrate and organize the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
LED screen system layout, combined with virtual reality technology
Ho Chi Minh City will pay attention to arranging maximum conditions for people to participate in activities to celebrate the holiday.
For the parade, Ho Chi Minh City will apply LED technology, arrange a screen system, combine virtual reality technology, video art, 3D... illustrate documentary images, and presentation graphics.
At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City arranged LED screens and loudspeakers on main roads and crowded areas for people to watch the celebration and parade.
In addition, 22 LED screens were installed in districts and Thu Duc City and commercial advertising LED screens were mobilized for simultaneous live broadcast.
Ms. Thuy also said that Ho Chi Minh City focuses on cultural and artistic activities such as launching a campaign to compose the theme Ho Chi Minh City - 50 years of pride in the heroic epic, attracting a large number of artists from all over the country, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners to participate. Coordinate with ministries and branches to produce television bridges and art programs.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City is expected to welcome 190 diplomatic delegates from Western countries and some Latin American countries that supported the Vietnamese Revolution, as well as influential American politicians who contributed to the relationship between the two countries to attend the celebration.
Set a record of 10,500 drones performing
To create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, according to Ms. Thuy, Ho Chi Minh City is planning to organize a series of activities in response. The activities will take place on Saturday evenings from April 19 and April 26.
On April 29 and 30, at Nguyen Hue walking street and Bach Dang wharf area, there will be street art performances such as circus, magic, opera, martial arts, brass music, and flower boats on the Saigon River.
Cruise ship parade, amateur music on Saigon River, water sports programs, sailing performance, jet-skiing performance, flyboarding and paragliding...
In particular, there will be a display of 10,500 drones. The organizers are preparing a proposal to set a Vietnamese record for the largest number of drones at one time.
Ho Chi Minh City plans to organize fireworks displays at 7 main locations including: the Saigon River Tunnel area, Thu Duc City; Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple, Cu Chi District; Nga Ba Giong Martyrs Memorial Area, Hoc Mon District; Lang Le - Bau Co relic site, Binh Chanh District; Can Gio District football field; National History - Culture Park; Dam Sen Cultural Park.
In addition to the 7 planned fireworks display locations mentioned above, the Ho Chi Minh City Command is mobilizing districts and businesses to participate in socializing fireworks displays locally.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Ho Chi Minh City identifies gratitude as a responsibility, so in addition to taking care of material life, Ho Chi Minh City promotes the renovation of martyrs' cemeteries and memorials, temples, and stele houses with martyrs' names, and restores the images of martyrs and heroic Vietnamese mothers.

Add 4 grandstands for people to attend the parade
The Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City also informed that the parade viewing area will be expanded to increase the number of guests.
In addition, four more grandstands with 1,044 seats will be set up for people to attend the parade.
