On the afternoon of July 29, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province held a ceremony to honor and reward students with high achievements in international and regional Olympic competitions, the 2025 high school graduation exam, and an outstanding young artist who won a Gold Medal at the Asian Arts Festival.
In 2025, Bac Ninh province's spearhead education recorded many outstanding achievements, continuing to affirm its tradition of studiousness and position in the top of the country.
At the national high school student selection exam for the 2024-2025 school year, the Bac Ninh Education sector (including the old Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang ) achieved impressive results with 180/206 students winning prizes, including 17 first prizes, one of the highest rates nationwide.
Glory at international and regional Olympic competitions
6 students from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted participated in regional and international Olympic competitions. As a result, 6/6 students won prizes and were awarded, including: 1 Gold Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad (Ngo Quang Minh); 1 Silver Medal at the International Physics Olympiad (Nguyen Cong Vinh); 1 Bronze Medal at the International Math Olympiad (Truong Thanh Xuan); 1 Gold Medal at the Asian Physics Olympiad (Nguyen Cong Vinh); 1 Gold Medal and 1 Certificate of Merit at the European Physics Olympiad (Nguyen Tran Hieu and Ha Tuan Kiet).
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Bac Ninh province ranked 9th out of 34 provinces and cities in terms of average scores in all subjects. Notably, Biology ranked first nationwide for the first time. The whole province had 880 exams with a score of 10.
Nguyen Quang Minh, a student at Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, became the nation's valedictorian with a perfect score of 30/30. In addition, many other candidates achieved second place with a score of 29.75.
The preliminary graduation rate of the whole province reached 99.46%, showing the efforts and comprehensive quality of teaching and learning of the locality.
Not only successful in the academic field, Bac Ninh also made its mark in the field of art. At the 2025 Asian Arts Festival held in Singapore from July 12-19, Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, a student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music (from Thuan Thanh ward), won the Gold Cup in the Professional Vocal category with the performance “Gui ve Quan ho”, a folk song composition by musician Duc Mieng.
Recognition and development orientation
With the above outstanding achievements, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province awarded certificates of merit to 6 students who won Olympic prizes and Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc.
Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan praised and congratulated the students and artists for their excellent achievements. He affirmed that these results not only bring glory to the province but also contribute to extending the tradition of leading education in Bac Ninh.
Provincial leaders pledged to continue investing and creating the best conditions for the education sector to develop comprehensively and sustainably, from facilities, teaching staff to specific policies and mechanisms for excellent students and teachers.
According to Bac Ninh province's regulations, students who win an international Olympic Gold Medal will be awarded 500 million VND, Silver Medal will be awarded 300 million VND, Bronze Medal will be awarded 200 million VND; students who win a regional Olympic Gold Medal will be awarded 150 million VND, Silver Medal will be awarded 80 million VND, Bronze Medal will be awarded 50 million VND, Certificate of Merit (Fourth Prize) will be awarded 30 million VND. Teachers who directly train the contestants who win the prize will be awarded an amount equivalent to the student.
