Recently, a group of students from the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences (HSS), University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), won the Best Research Award at the 2023 Korean Academy of Sciences Science Conference (KSASF).
This year's conference has 29 teams from 19 countries around the world including: Korea, Vietnam, USA, UK, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Netherlands, Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Kenya, Laos, Cambodia.

The High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, VNU is the only representative of Vietnam to attend this conference. The delegation includes 3 students: Vu Hoang Minh, class 11A1 Chemistry, Ly Han Minh Quang, class 11A2 Chemistry and Pham Huy Khanh, class 11A1 Mathematics.
The delegation was led by Dr. Nguyen Cong Toan, Vice Principal of the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, and also led by Dr. Ngo Tien Quyet, teacher of the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences.
The research group's topic "Synthesis, Characterization, Anti-cancer and Anti-inflamatory Activities of Gold Complexes Bearing N-Heterocycle" was completed under the guidance of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Ha, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Science, VNU.
