Quang Nam supports the preservation and promotion of the heritage value of Bài Chòi

(CLO) The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just issued a plan to support the preservation and promotion of the heritage value of Bai Choi in the province.

According to Plan No. 2648 of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, the provincial and local budgets will allocate about 5 billion VND in 2025 to implement the following contents: Supporting research and inventory of the intangible heritage of Bai Choi art in the province; supporting the digitization and documentation of the heritage; supporting the transmission, training and practice of the heritage.

In addition, support the purchase of equipment and maintenance of activities of Bai Choi clubs, teams, and groups in the community; support the propaganda, promotion, and introduction of the intangible cultural heritage of Bai Choi art; support the organization of composition sessions on Bai Choi folk songs...

The plan is implemented in 13 districts, towns and cities in Quang Nam province. The beneficiaries are clubs, teams and groups of Bài Chòi. At the same time, support is provided to agencies, units and individuals involved in supporting the preservation and promotion of the value of the intangible cultural heritage of Bài Chòi in the province.

Previously, in January 2024, at the 20th session of the 10th term People's Council of Quang Nam province, the Project on stipulating the level of support for preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage of the art of Bài Chòi in Quang Nam province, period 2024 - 2030 was approved with a total budget of more than 23.6 billion VND.

The project is divided into 2 phases, phase 1 from 2024 - 2025; phase 2 from 2026 to 2030 with contents ranging from completing inventory, classification assessment, collection, digitization, publishing of Bài chòi art works, training and fostering practice on the intangible cultural heritage of Bài chòi art for a wide range of classes; aiming for each district, town, and city to establish at least 1 to 2 Bài chòi clubs...
