Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training sent a document to provinces, cities, universities, and vocational training institutions requesting coordination in directing and organizing the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education.

The Ministry requires that students return to school at least 1 week before the opening day. For grades 1, 9, and 12, they must return to school at least 2 weeks before the opening day. This adjustment helps grades 1, 9, and 12 prepare for the transition or graduation exams, and take time to consolidate knowledge and form a study routine before entering the new school year.

According to the Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training, in the new school year 2025-2026, the whole province will have more than 17,000 groups and classes with nearly 500,000 students from preschool to high school.
