- On April 28, the Provincial Red Cross Society (CRS) coordinated with the Francophone Club and the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association to organize a survey program to build classrooms in Thien Tan commune, Huu Lung district.
Thien Tan is a commune in region III of Huu Lung district. Currently, the whole commune has 1,452 households with more than 6,000 people, of which the number of poor and near-poor households accounts for nearly 12%. Currently, there are 6 schools in the commune (2 kindergartens, 2 primary schools and 2 secondary schools) and only 2/6 schools meet level 1 standards, most of the schools lack facilities.
During the program, the delegation worked with the Party Committee, the commune government, representatives of local schools and directly surveyed the Thien Tan Secondary School 2. Next, the Francophone Club and the Vietnam-France Friendship and Cooperation Association pledged to donate 5,000 Euros (about 150 million VND) to the Provincial Red Cross Association to build classrooms in the commune.
It is known that previously, at the Provincial Red Cross Association, the Francophone Club, and the Vietnam-France Friendship and Cooperation Association presented the Provincial Red Cross Association with 50 million VND to purchaseeducational equipment for Thien Tan commune, Huu Lung district.
This is a practical activity to strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two countries and towards the 29th anniversary of the founding of the Francophone Club, the Vietnam - France Friendship and Cooperation Association (May 17, 1996 - May 17, 2025).
