In the first 6 months of 2025, the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society has actively implemented many practical activities, achieving outstanding results. Currently, the province has 14 affiliated societies, including 13 district-level Red Cross societies and Quang Ninh Medical College, with 266 grassroots organizations. The total number of Red Cross members is 79,602, along with 8,684 volunteers and 67,013 youth.
Social work continued to be promoted with a total value of activities reaching 17,459 billion VND, supporting 24,251 people in difficult circumstances in the province. In particular, the "Humanitarian Tet" movement in 2025 mobilized over 10.7 billion VND and presented 17,200 gifts to poor households and Agent Orange victims. The campaign "Each organization and individual is associated with a humanitarian address" supported 4,341 people with a total value of over 4.7 billion VND, including the construction of 21 humanitarian houses.
Disaster prevention and response activities were also focused on with a total value of 458 million VND, assisting 13,333 people. Training programs on disaster prevention and support for families affected by natural disasters have been effectively implemented in many localities.
Regarding community health care and voluntary blood donation, the Association received 10,542 units of blood with a total value of 1,535 billion VND in the first 6 months of 2025. Many meaningful activities such as the program "Nutrition for poor disabled children", donation of libraries, free medical examination and health consultation have been implemented.
In the last 6 months of 2025, the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society will focus on strengthening the organization, continuing to mobilize resources for humanitarian movements and strengthening communication work; at the same time, continue to implement coordination programs with departments, branches and organizations to further improve the effectiveness of humanitarian activities, contributing to the social security work of the province.
On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Society awarded the Emulation Flag for outstanding units in 2024 to Mong Cai City Red Cross Society and Quang Yen Town Red Cross Society; and awarded the "For the humanitarian cause" medal to two members of the Provincial Red Cross Executive Committee.
