Vietnam Youth Union of Long An province and Cambodian Youth Union of Svay Rieng province signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2024

At the invitation of the Cambodian Youth Federation (CYF) of Svay Rieng province and with the agreement of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Long An province, on April 24, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the province and the Vietnam Youth Union (VYF) of Long An province jointly organized the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Vietnam Youth Union of Long An province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Cambodian Youth Union of Svay Rieng province, Kingdom of Cambodia, for the period 2024 - 2029.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Long An province - Le Thi Hong Ket and Mr. Dy Vichea - President of the Cambodian Youth Union of Svay Rieng province, signed the cooperation memorandum.

Delegates from Long An province included Secretary of Long An Provincial Youth Union - Tran Hai Phu; Deputy Secretary of Provincial Youth Union, President of Vietnam Youth Union of Long An province - Le Thi Hong Ket; Venerable Thich Le Ngon - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Long An province and Presidents of Youth Unions of districts, towns and cities in the province.

Over the past time, the traditional relationship of solidarity and friendship between Long An province and Svay Rieng province has been maintained and developed in many fields. Youth of the two provinces have together carried out many meaningful and effective activities.

Since 2017, volunteer programs, medical examination and treatment, free medicine distribution, giving away youth friendship houses, giving away learning tools, transferring science and technology, sharing good models and new ways to help young people develop the economy , giving away bicycles to students in difficult circumstances, supporting each other to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic, cultural and artistic exchange activities, physical education and sports, etc. have been continuously carried out by the two provinces. Thereby, helping the youth of the two provinces connect more deeply, the activities have contributed to protecting and fostering the close bond between the two peoples.

This memorandum of understanding signing activity helps the youth of the two provinces connect more deeply.

To promote and strengthen this relationship, the Vietnam Youth Union of Long An province boldly proposed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Vietnam Youth Union of Long An province and the Cambodian Youth Union of Svay Rieng province for the period 2024 - 2029.
