The national conference to disseminate the Politburo's Directive on election work took place on November 15.

Implementing Plan No. 49/KH-HĐBCQG, on the morning of November 15th, at the Dien Hong Meeting Room, National Assembly Building, the National Election Council held a national conference to disseminate the Politburo 's Directive and implement the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The conference was held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation, connecting to provincial and commune-level locations in 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

According to the program, Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will attend and preside over the Conference. Comrade Tran Thanh Man, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly, and Chairman of the National Election Council, will preside over and conduct the Conference.

Regarding the participants of the Conference: At the main venue (Dien Hong Meeting Room, National Assembly Building) were leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly and members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly; the Deputy Prime Ministers; representatives of the leaders of the Central Party Committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy; representatives of the Office of the President, the Government Office, the Ministry of Interior , the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Government Inspectorate, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Committees of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Office; members of the Subcommittees of the National Election Council, and the Office of the National Election Council. Comrades, leaders of provincial and city Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Fatherland Front Committees, National Assembly delegations of provinces and cities, and specialists directly involved in advising and serving the election.

At the provincial and city locations, attendees included members of the Election Steering Committee and Provincial Election Committee; Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee, and the Department of Internal Affairs of the provinces and cities; the Provincial and City Party Committee Offices, the Offices of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council, the People's Committee Offices, and leaders of the Party building departments.

Attending the conference at the commune level were members of the Election Steering Committee and the Commune Election Committee; the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the leaders of the People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level, the Secretary and Head of the Fatherland Front working committee, mass organizations, village heads, and neighborhood group leaders.

According to the conference program, delegates will hear presentations from representatives of the agencies on the following documents:

- Directive of the Politburo on leading the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term;

- Guidelines from the Central Organizing Committee on personnel matters for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term;

- Directive of the Prime Minister on organizing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term;

- The process and steps for consultation, selection, and nomination of candidates for National Assembly representatives and People's Council representatives, and the organization of conferences to gather voter opinions;

- Guidance on professional procedures for organizing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term;

- The National Election Council's plan for implementing the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The national conference to thoroughly understand the Politburo's directive on the implementation of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is of great significance; it will create high unity in awareness, political thought, and action throughout the entire political system; at the same time, it will create social consensus, contributing to the successful organization of the election, ensuring democracy, equality, legality, safety, economy, and truly making it a festival for the entire people; and strengthening the people's trust in the Party, the State, and the country's reform process.
