Conference on deploying the work of the Banking sector in Ngoc Hoi district

On the afternoon of June 10, the State Bank of Vietnam , Kon Tum Province Branch, coordinated with the People's Committee of Ngoc Hoi District to organize a conference to deploy the work of the banking sector in Ngoc Hoi District in 2024. Mr. Hoang Minh Tan - Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Kon Tum Province Branch chaired the conference.

Attending the Conference were representatives of a number of departments, branches, organizations, businesses and individuals in the province and Ngoc Hoi district.

In 2023 and the first 4 months of 2024, credit investment activities in Ngoc Hoi district have a fairly stable growth rate. The bad debt ratio is controlled, credit quality is guaranteed. Credit under the State's programs and policies and loans for agricultural and rural development account for a large proportion of the total outstanding debt (with proportions of 12.9% and 49.0% respectively), credit capital in the area has been directed to production and business sectors, especially priority sectors according to the Government's policies, at the same time, serving the development of key economic sectors and key products of the district... Thereby, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction, socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas, ensuring social security, political stability, national defense and security and socio-economic development in the locality.

Capital mobilized in Ngoc Hoi district in 2023 and the first 4 months of 2024 had a higher growth rate than the general growth rate of the whole province. Mobilized capital, especially capital mobilized from savings deposits, maintained a high and stable growth rate, contributing to meeting part of the credit capital demand in the area.

Non-cash payment activities in Ngoc Hoi district are increasingly developing, the bank's services, utilities and products promptly meet the needs of customers.

Branches and transaction offices of credit institutions in Ngoc Hoi district actively and proactively provide a variety of banking products and services to serve customers; promptly and effectively implement credit programs and policies, contributing to increasing access to banking products and services for individuals and organizations in the area...

Participating in the discussion at the Conference, delegates presented a number of difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing credit investment activities and providing banking products and services...

Concluding the Conference, the Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Kon Tum Province Branch, discussed and answered a number of questions; at the same time, acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of the delegates and promised to consider and recommend all levels and sectors to study and resolve the issues for people, businesses and units.

The Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Kon Tum Province Branch, especially noted that units and localities need to step up propaganda work for people to raise their vigilance; remind people not to provide information to subjects who call impersonating authorities to exploit personal information, to avoid cases where people are deceived by these subjects and lose money in their accounts...
