Online conference to contribute ideas to the draft Project to supplement and amend the Party's Election Regulations

On the morning of August 20, the Central Organizing Committee held an online conference to contribute ideas to the draft Project to supplement and amend the Party's Election Regulations. Comrade Nguyen Quang Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, chaired the conference. Attending the conference at the Quang Ninh province bridge were comrades: Dang Xuan Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Bui Thuy Phuong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee.

At the conference, the representative of the Central Organizing Committee briefly presented the draft Report on the assessment of the results of 10 years of implementing Decision No. 244-QD/TW dated June 9, 2014 of the Central Executive Committee on promulgating the Party Election Regulations and the draft Project on supplementing and amending the Party Election Regulations. The draft report clearly stated the results achieved in the leadership, direction and concretization of the Party Election Regulations according to Decision No. 244; pointed out the advantages and causes as well as the limitations, difficulties and obstacles; drew lessons; and from there proposed to supplement and amend the Party Election Regulations.

The Draft Project to supplement and amend the Party Election Regulations inherits the relevant contents of the current Party Election Regulations; updates the contents in the Regulations on the implementation of the Party Charter, Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo , on Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress; edits and rearranges some contents, rephrases some sentences to ensure they are tight, easy to understand, and easy to implement, but does not change the nature of the Party Election Regulations; only amends contents that are no longer relevant and not directly related to the election; omits contents that are already in other regulations of the Central Committee.

At the conference, delegates contributed a number of ideas to propose supplementing and amending the Party's Election Regulations, such as contents that are no longer appropriate; at the same time, supplementing contents that are clear, have sufficient theoretical basis, have been proven correct in practice, and have received high consensus and unanimity.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong thanked the delegates for their contributions and assigned the editorial team to synthesize their opinions to complete the draft Report on the assessment of the results of 10 years of implementing the Party's Election Regulations according to Decision No. 244, dated June 9, 2014 of the 11th Central Executive Committee and the draft Project to supplement and amend the Party's Election Regulations to submit to the Politburo .
